Peek — updated 19 October 2026
This policy describes Peek's on-device connection reports.
You may select your own Instagram JSON export files. Peek reads the usernames in the follower and following lists, calculates comparisons on your device, and stores the lists, import dates, previous follower snapshot, and saved profile links locally. These imported lists and reports are not uploaded to our servers or sent to Instagram.
Peek does not require an Instagram password, capture Instagram login cookies, or connect to Instagram's private API. Opening a profile or Accounts Center opens Instagram's website or app outside Peek. Those services have their own privacy policies.
The app may contact Expo's update infrastructure to obtain compatible software updates. Such requests include standard connection and app-version information; imported lists and saved profile contents are not included. Opening our support or policy website also sends the normal connection details needed to serve a web page. We do not use advertising identifiers or sell imported data.
If you email support, we receive the information you choose to include. Please do not send passwords or your full export files. App Store billing and existing subscriptions are managed by Apple; the current connection-report features do not require a new purchase.
Use Settings → Delete imported data & saved profiles to delete this version's reports and bookmarks. Uninstalling removes the app's local container, subject to your device's backup settings. Your chosen export files remain in Files until you delete them there. Device backups are controlled by your operating-system settings.
